Do I have a Surface RT or Surface 2

The Surface 2 and Surface RT are very similar but have some key differinces and you need to know which device you have to install linux. For example, the surface rt and surface 2 have entirely different chipsets. One way you can diffirentiate these is by looking at the back sides of the devices. The surface rt will have a blackish case while the surface 2 has a silver one.

Ubuntu MATE on the Surface 2

Hi, So recently I have been trying to get Ubuntu MATE to work on the surface rt2, Ive got it working however there is no 3d hardware acceleration so videos streaming, games, etc is very slow. I will make a tutorial soon on how to install ubuntu mate
